Home – About Us
Stewart EFI is a leading precision metal stamping company trusted by OEMs worldwide for complex, high-volume components. Founded in New York City in 1936, we have grown into one of the largest international suppliers of deep draw, progressive die, and slide-formed metal stamped components, along with secondary machining, automated assembly, and finishing services.
With more than 90 years of experience and over two billion parts shipped annually, we combine engineering know-how, global scale, and vertically integrated capabilities to help customers bring their most challenging designs to life, on time and on budget.
By uniting deep drawn transfer press stamping, progressive die stamping, slide forming, and secondary operations under one roof, Stewart EFI offers OEMs a breadth of manufacturing processes that few competitors can match. This integrated approach ensures cost-optimized production, consistent quality, and streamlined supply chains for high-volume or specialty low-volume runs.
With two North American facilities totaling roughly 190,000 ft² (17,652 m²) and a joint-venture operation in China, Stewart EFI is strategically located to serve customers across North America, Europe, Asia, and beyond. All facilities are IATF 16949 certified (U.S. facilities also ISO 9001 certified), with 100% inspection available for safety-critical parts.
Stewart EFI’s legacy stretches back nearly a century. In 1936, the company began as a regional metal stamping operation and steadily built a reputation for quality, precision, and service.
In 1999, Eyelets for Industry, Inc. (EFI) joined forces with Stewart Stamping Corporation to form the foundation of today’s Stewart EFI. This merger combined EFI’s deep drawn transfer press expertise with Stewart Stamping’s progressive die capabilities, creating a single source for advanced metal forming solutions.
Since then, Stewart EFI has grown into one of the largest precision metal stamping companies in North America, expanding its facilities, adding automated assembly and secondary operations, and forging strategic partnerships, including a joint venture in China, to better serve global OEMs. This history of innovation and investment underscores our long-term commitment to quality and efficiency for every customer.
