Stewart EFI produces a wide variety of precision deep drawn metal components for a broad range of industries and is recognized as an innovative, reliable and well-respected supplier of complex deep draw stampings.
Stewart EFI specializes in tooling designs that incorporate many features and secondary operations into the primary deep draw stamping process. These factors as well as the opportunities to convert more costly manufacturing methods to deep drawn components afford significant cost savings.
At our multiple locations we have over 60 deep draw transfer presses including US Baird, Waterbury Farrel, Asahi Seiki and Minster with up to 200 ton capacity. This equipment allows us to make parts up to 5.75” (146mm) in depth with a maximum blank size of 8” (203mm).
Deep Drawing Process - Deep Drawn Stampings
The Deep Drawing process represents the manufacturing of components in a cold formed environment through a succession of press operations from a flat, pre-cut metal blank. The various forms produced may be cylindrical with straight or tapered sidewalls but many different approaches have been used over the years for other shapes and styles of parts.
Stewart EFI is capable of incorporating the following processes in the press during the manufacturing of your parts, thus saving costly secondary operations:
- Beading
- Bulging
- Coining
- Debossing
- Embossing
- Extruding
- Knurling
- Lettering
- Reverse Draws
- Side Piercing
- Step Draws
- Tapping
- Threading
